Location: [[MSG]] Shift: [[11p - 7a - Sunday - Thursday]] Pay Rate: [[36.22]] Job DescriptionJOB OVERVIEW: Operate computer-controlled Boring machines or perform one or more machine functions on metal or plastic work pieces. Perform complete and independent set-up of various CNC machine tools and perform primary operations. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent Windows, basic Fanuc (M & G Codes) a plus. Must be able to read shop drawings and instructions; Must be able to accurately use and read measuring tools. Must be able to perform basic math calculations. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. PRIMARY JOB TASKS: Know all equipment in area of responsibility; understand and use equipment effectively. Observe machine gauges and equipment operation, including the use of precision instruments and gauges to detect defects or deviations from standards, and make adjustments as necessary. Adjusting tooling offsets for proper part production. Working from prints, sketches, oral and written instructions in order to determine the sequence of operations to be performed, dimensions and tolerances to be held, tools to use and method of locating, aligning and holding work. Preset and/or sharpen cutting tools as required. Deburr and break edges of own machine parts. Maintain identification of machined parts as required. Perform required preventive maintenance and understand tag outlock out processes. Work in a fast-paced environment to keep up with production demands. Demonstrate and perform safety practices at all times. Maintain run time and production records. Assist in performance of other duties as needed to meet the objectives of the department. QUALITY: Use the company's ISO Quality System documentation to help guide all daily quality activities. Do not release products until all quality checks have been passed Immediately report quality issues to the supervisor or quality manager SAFETY: Working safely is a condition of employment. Follow all company environmental rules/procedures and handle all materials in a manner designed to minimize environmental impact. Properly wear all required PPE Review and know all Job Hazard Analyses for proper job sequence and hazards associated with the jobs assigned to do Review and know all Safety Data Sheets for the jobs assigned to do Maintain all work areas to 5S standards Perform pre-operation safety inspection and hazard analysis PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Physical activity associated with daily performance of this job include: balance, climbing, fingering, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, standing, stooping, walking and sitting. Must be able to work in hot and cold environments normally found in a prefabricated building without climate-control.
