The Radiology Transporter transports patients to and from the Radiology Department.- Other duties include but are not limited to; Darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients and front office duties.- This performs clerical duties for the Radiology Department such as answering telephones, greeting patients and preparing requisitions for outpatients.- Other duties include, but are not limited to, filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records.- The Radiology Transport/Aide should demonstrate adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered in Radiology person should demonstrate good telephone etiquette and be able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner.- Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) and by running errands throughout the facility.QualificationsEducation and Work Experience+ Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment.+ Transportation experience preferred.+ Starting April 2014, all new hires will require a High School diploma or Equivalent.
