TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Chattanooga, Tennessee, 37404 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills Job Description: - Work in a 28-bed medical-surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6. - Collaborate with clinical coordinators, unit secretaries, and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs). - Utilize equipment such as walkers, IV pumps, and sequential compression devices (SCDs). - Document patient care using the Meditech system. - Schedule requires 4 weekend shifts every 28 days and participation in holiday rotation. - Follow floating policy in rotation with other staff members. - Achieve a patient experience requirement of 72% by using communication boards. - Preferred experience with various respiratory diseases, renal disease, gastrointestinal illnesses, telemetry, central venous catheters (CVCs), indwelling catheters, and heparin drips. Oncology and general surgery experience is a plus. - Wear navy blue scrubs as part of the required uniform. - Adhere to unit-specific and general hospital policies and guidelines. - Benefit from working with experienced staff and potential access to new equipment or technology.
