The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems
such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end
modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other
lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck
and other industrial markets.

About the Role
This position reports directly to the Quality Department Leader and
is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described
below:
Your Responsibilities
- To exhibit an objective, fair and professional attitude that

- To follow Decostar policies and display conduct expected of
Decostar employees as described in the employee handbook.
- Ensure that you follow company policies and business objectives
in the daily supervision of the operations of the company.

- To demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment
that is striving for continuous improvement.
- To support all customer quality standards as well as the
standards of Decostar.
- To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required
and per the department's established procedures and work
instructions.
- Ensure a spirit of respect, cooperation, ethical conduct and
fair dealing in all our operations between our internal, external
customers and suppliers Who we are looking for
- To follow safety rules of Decostar and work in a manner that is
conducive to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace.
- To Understand the employee's rights under the OSHA Act, EEOC,
FLSA and do not allow for discrimination against any employee
exercising their rights.
- Always use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to set
good workplace standards and ensure all employees maintain those
standards.
- To follow safety rules of Decostar and work in a manner that is
conducive to maintaining
- a safe and healthful workplace including: training of new
employees, reporting unsafe acts or conditions and correcting or
commending health and safety performance.
- Ensure that all accidents or injuries are reported immediately
and actively participate in the accident investigation and
completion of all open action items.
- Have knowledge of general workplace health and safety in
regards to the general public and visitors to Decostar.
- Work with Program Managers, Program Engineers and Manufacturing
staff to coordinate all PPAP activities and ensure accurate and
on-time submission into customer's systems (e.g. SQMS. B2B portal
Supply Power etc.)
- Update customers on PPAP status and timing on a regular
basis.
- Ensure effective communication and containment of quality
issues identified by customers. Travel to customer's location may
be required.
- Ensure effective root cause analysis and permanent corrective
actions are implemented for customer quality issues. Also ensure
this information is uploaded into the appropriate customer
database.
- Ensure every customer complaint for your customers are
responded to within the customer specified timeframe.
- Effectively manage the relationship with your customer to
ensure that your customers view Decostar in a positive manner.
- Establish boundary samples with the customer for subjective
quality issues.
- Assist manufacturing departments in developing their Control
Plans and Work Instructions in accordance to their PFMEAs, Process
Flows, Decostar's quality system's procedures and customer
requirements.
- Participate in Decostar's cross-functional APQP meetings to
review open issues and activities which need to be resolved or
acted upon.
- Conduct supplier quality system surveys according to ISO/IATF
16949 requirements.
- Assist the Supplier Quality Engineer by reviewing and approving
supplier PPAPs and attend supplier run at rate trial as
designated.
- Participate in continuous improvement programs and activities
to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives.
- Perform job duties within the guidelines of the Decostar
Supplier Quality Manual and ISO/IATF 16949 procedures.
- Perform other duties as directed. Your preferred qualifications
- Ability to travel within and outside of the U.S. is
required.
- Knowledge of PPAP / Submission process systems or equivalent is
required.
- Knowledge of internal auditing.
- Exposure to OEM specifications, standards and quality
systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel
is required.
- Knowledge of AIAG core tools such as FMEA, Control Plan, SPC,
MSA, APQP, and PPAP is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. An
Associate's degree along with related experience or at least four
years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of
Bachelor's degree.
