About the School of Computational Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of TechnologyGeorgia Tech is organized into six Colleges. The School of Computational Science and Engineering resides in the College of Computing along with the School of Computer Science, the School of Interactive Computing, the School of Cybersecurity and Privacy, and the School of Computing Instruction.     Job Summary


    The School of Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) (https://cse.gatech.edu) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, U.S.A. invites applications for multiple openings for the position of Assistant Professor (tenure-track); openings for Associate Professor and Professor (tenured or tenure-track) are also available. All positions are full-time and are located in Atlanta, GA, U.S.A. The School of CSE focuses on foundational research of an interdisciplinary nature that enables advances in science, engineering, medical, and social domains. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.
    Responsibilities


    Duties of these positions include developing and sustaining a research program in one or more of our core areas (https://cse.gatech.edu/research) high-performance computing, data science and visual analytics, scientific computing and simulation, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and computational bioscience and biomedicine. Duties also include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (classroom teaching), as well as providing service to the School, College and the Institute.
    Required Qualifications


    An earned PhD degree is required by the start date of the job, in a discipline relevant to the field of Computational Science and Engineering, including a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Science.
    Preferred Qualifications


    Applicants are expected to engage in substantive research with collaborators in other disciplines. For example, current faculty have domain expertise and/or collaborations in computational chemistry; earth sciences; biomedical and health sciences; urban systems and smart cities; social good and sustainable development; materials and manufacturing; and others.Applicants are also expected to meet student success criteria, such as the ability to promote a welcoming educational/work environment.
